The sea for me had always been a dream, you/he/she had entered within me since small, since when from my room I saw the lighthouse of the I bring of Genoa.
They told me of great trips, of heroic men that departed for the unknown one and when I looked at the sea I saw the endless horizon that the heart opened me. The sea has an unique odor, a perfume that felt once you cannot forget anymore, when you also approach yourself to him the sky it changes it almost flakes him to leave him its color.
But the sea is also strength and anger, from the shore you feel him/it roar, you see him/it break himself/herself/themselves on the rock-cliffs and you know that nothing can stop him/it. Then one day, we have finally taken a boat, and we have departed. I will never forget the exact moment in which the last top has been disconnected from the bench and the boat you/he/she has started to slip on the waves.
It was the sunset, the light confused the contours but not the emotions. The wind inflated the sails, the boat tilted him, the sea was beautiful and powerful there, any noise except what the boat did, with its scrunches and its rustles.
When I returned home, I had in the head and in the heart every minute of that days, every feeling jealously guarded for never forgetting her/it.
Since then continuous to go to sail in every occasion and I have understood that the only thing that I will want to do in the future will be to set sail with my companion to the discovery of the world.
